Baker Publishing Group Fiction Wins 7 Golden Scroll Awards at AWSA 2026

Ada, Mich. (August 25, 2026)—Baker Publishing Group is celebrating seven wins at the 2026 Golden Scroll Awards, which took place on Sunday, August 2. Hosted for the eighteenth year by the Advanced Writers and Speakers Association (AWSA), the awards recognize excellence in writing, speaking, and ministry impact among its members, now numbering over 1,100.

 

New York Times bestselling Revell author Lynette Eason received three of the awards. She won the Christian Market Suspense Novel of the Year for Serial Burn, as well as second place for the Mystery/Suspense Novel of the Year for Final Approach, and third place in the same category for Serial Burn. She also received an honorable mention for Novella of the Year for Snowbound Secrets, which appears in the Whiteout collection.

 

Regarding Eason’s wins, Revell editorial director Andrea Doering said, “It’s so gratifying to see Lynette’s work recognized and celebrated—we’re thrilled to be in partnership with her!” Lynette Eason added, “It’s an honor to be recognized for the stories God lays on my heart to write. AWSA recognized four other Baker Publishing Group authors. Tracie Peterson and Kimberley Woodhouse, publishing with Bethany House, won second place for Western Novel of the Year and third place for Christian Market Novel of the Year for An Unexpected Grace; Woodhouse also took second place for Historical Novel of the Year with A Song in the Dark (Bethany House). Karen Witemeyer’s novella A Star in the West, featured in On a Midnight Clear (Bethany House), won third place for Novella of the Year. And bestselling author Dani Pettrey earned an honorable mention for Mystery/Suspense Novel of the Year for Two Seconds Too Late (Bethany House).
