This condensed book does an excellent job of debunking that belief by revealing that the Bible addresses literally hundreds of topics of key importance to today's people. The Bible focuses on such timely matters as abortion, alcoholism, birth control, civil rights, divorce, the death penalty, rape, sorcery, prostitution, unwanted pregnancies, and even weight control. By alphabetizing the topics and providing an extensive topics listing, users can quickly locate subjects. Each entry has a one-paragraph overview, two to four quoted passages of Scripture regarding that topic, and then a list of more than 20 additional references to look up. Although the book is designed for research, it is also fun to read entry after entry and be amazed at God's timeliness.
