1. Read the Sermon on the Mount from Matthew 5-7. What major themes do you see of the Sermon throughout James?
2. Make a list of the places in James that deal with wealth and poverty. Then consider and write down situations in which you are tempted to honor the wealthy and dismiss the poor. How can you pursue wholeness in this area of your life?
3. Know the definitions for encyclical, orthodoxy, and Paraenesis.
