About

"Leeana's words have taught me how to be at home with myself."--Myquillyn Smith, The Nester; author of The Nesting Place

There are so many moments in life when we choose to silence our intuition, abandon our own voice, and play small, because of that accusing voice inside that whispers, "Who do you think you are, anyway?"

Who you are is a human--loved, worthy, and becoming. Who you are is a woman created by God to be and to do something unique. Who you are, deep down, is brazen.

Brazen means "without shame." Leeana Tankersley wants you to own that--to unapologetically claim who and whose you are and to know that you are enough. With moving personal stories and spot-on observations of the longings we all experience--to know we are loved, to feel comfortable in our own skin, to be heard--Tankersley invites you to receive your identity, to reclaim your voice, and to recover your soul.

Gritty and overflowing with grace, Brazen can set you free to be truly yourself in a world bent on molding you into its own image.

"We all want to find our voice, feel comfortable in our own skin, and come out of hiding. Leeana is a trustworthy companion on this journey of becoming broken and beautiful."--Rebekah Lyons, author of Freefall to Fly

"Leeana Tankersley has the gift of breathing life into the weary souls of women; souls exhausted from anxiety, from negative self-talk and unfulfilled dreams. She draws the wounded daughter back into the lap of her heavenly Father and invites her home."--Emily T. Wierenga, founder of The Lulu Tree; author of Atlas Girl and Making It Home

"If you ever feel inclined to apologize for your own existence in this world, then please, please read this insightful, soulful book."--Kristen Strong, author of Girl Meets Change: Truths to Carry You through Life's Transitions

Reviews

Praise for Breathing Room

"Leeana refuses to reach for easy answers, instead leading the reader on a journey of accepting our own humanity. Quite simply, this is one of the most thoughtful books I've read all year."--Emily P. Freeman, author of A Million Little Ways

"Leeana says out loud the things we all feel, and she says it with grace and eloquence. Reading these pages is like sitting with a friend."--Shauna Niequist, author of Bread & Wine

"A new lyrical voice in a crowded world, Tankersley tells a tale of hope, reality, and everything in between."--Claire Díaz-Ortiz, author, speaker, and innovator at Twitter, Inc.

"Tankersley sparkles as she creates melodious prose in her new book, Breathing Room. Her ability to take a simple 'let go and let God' message and weave into her own journey through frustration, anger, despair, discovery, and ultimately triumph is enticing. Her beautifully worded short stories punctuate a message that every woman regardless of age faced at least once in her life. This title is perfect for frustrated mothers or anyone who is discouraged with life and ready to take the first step and read the story of a fellow sojourner in life."--CBA Retailers+Resources
