Permission Policies and Information
We appreciate your interest in using Baker Publishing Group material. Please note carefully the following guidelines regarding our permission policies.
Permission to use copyrighted material is required by law unless your request is considered "fair use" or the copyright on the text has expired, placing it in public domain. Our standard for fair use is 250 words or less. However, if you intend to use the excerpt as a stand-alone (such as an entry in a devotional book or collection of stories), or the material you desire to use is a stand-alone (such as a chart, graph, cartoon, map, poem, sermon, etc.), you must request permission regardless of word count. If you have questions regarding whether you should request permission or not, please contact us.
Under current copyright law, all materials copyrighted before 1923 are in the public domain. Formal permission to use such material is not required. Please cite the appropriate material, including author, title, copyright date, and publisher.
Requesting Permission to Reprint Entire Out-of-Print Texts
Baker Publishing Group offers selected books (previously out of print) through our short-run printing service. We also provide short-run printing services on demand through our retail division (minimum order of $360.00). For more information on this, please visit www.bakerbookstore.com. If we do not stock the text you are requesting as a short-run title or you cannot meet the minimum order amount for our retail division's printing services, contact us for permission to copy.
