The Bible Recap Reaches 500,000 Sold Milestone
Bethany House, a division of Baker Publishing Group, is pleased to announce that The Bible Recap by Tara-Leigh Cobble has reached a significant sales milestone of 500,000 copies sold! Since the release of the original hardcover edition (November 2020, ISBN 9780764237034, $29.99), the entire The Bible Recap book line has collectively sold more than 800,000 copies to date.
“The reason these numbers are so exciting is because they represent individual people—souls—who are eager to read, understand, and love the Bible,” stated Cobble. “Reading God’s Word is no easy task, but people are still coming to us with hope and growing with us in joy!”
Cobble, a Wall Street Journal bestselling author, created The Bible Recap podcast in 2019 to guide readers through a 365-day chronological Bible reading plan. At the beginning of January 2024, the podcast became the top show in All Categories on Apple Podcasts. Today, The Bible Recap podcast has exceeded 364 million downloads.
The Bible Recap’s product line includes the hardcover, faux leather, real leather, and personal size editions and the study guide, discussion guide, journal, The God Shot devotional, and kids’ devotional. In November 2024, Bethany House will also release The Bible Recap for Kids, a young readers’ edition of The Bible Recap for ages 8¬–12.
In addition to The Bible Recap books, Cobble is releasing four 10-week Bible studies on the Gospels. Knowing Jesus as King (Matthew) released in April, and Knowing Jesus as Servant (Mark) will release later this month. In Fall 2024, Bethany House will release the last two gospel studies—Knowing Jesus as Savior (Luke) and Knowing Jesus as God (John). In 2025, Cobble will release an additional in-depth study on the book of Acts, which is the first book in THE BIBLE RECAP KNOWING GOD SERIES.
