Bestselling Author Irene Hannon Wins the GDRWA Booksellers’ Best Award

(July 22, 2020)—Revell is pleased to announce that the Greater Detroit Romance Writers of America (GDRWA) has selected Driftwood Bay (ISBN 9780800728816; ebook ISBN 9781493416509; $15.99) by Irene Hannon as the winner of the 2020 Booksellers’ Best Award in the Inspirational Romance category. The award presentation took place on July 21 during a Zoom live awards ceremony.
The GDRWA was founded in 1982 and “is dedicated to promoting the romance genre, and to supporting and developing the writing goals of all its members.” They established the Booksellers’ Best Award to celebrate published authors in eleven romance categories. For the inspirational romance category, the winning novel had to meet the following criteria: “A novel where spiritual or religious beliefs blend with the plot to form a significant part of the love story. The character’s journey should include not only inward and outward character growth, but also spiritual growth.” The contest is judged by booksellers and librarians.
